Once the program is completed, you can apply certain credit hours toward a Master of Science in Educational Administration at YSU or continuing education units by the Ohio Department of Education. With the Teacher Leader Endorsement, you also meet one of the core criteria to earn the Lead Professional Educator License, an educational qualification that is recognized by the Ohio Department of Education as the highest licensing credential in the state.
Upon completion of this online endorsement program for teachers, you will gain the enhanced teaching abilities that will prepare you for expanded educational roles. Earning the Teacher Leader Endorsement fulfills one of the criteria in pursuing the Lead Professional Educator License, the highest educational licensing credential a teacher can achieve in the state of Ohio.

- Pay $45 application fee ($90 International). Waived for active/veteran military members or for applicants who have attended the College of Graduate Studies in the past.

- Currently enrolled or have graduated from a master's degree program
- Submit official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate coursework from regionally accredited institutions
- Submit official scores for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (waived for applicants who have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher)
- Valid teaching certificate
- At least four years of teaching experience
