In which online degree program do you teach?

  • Which classes do you teach online?

EDAD 6915: Learning, Teaching, and Instructional Leadership

  • What do you want students to take away from your classes?

    1. Select effective leadership behaviors that encourage teacher leadership, commitment and competence.
    2. Support instructional practices such as personalized learning, blended learning, project-based learning, differentiated instruction and student feedback to increase student learning.
    3. Develop evidence-based formative and summative assessment strategies.
    4. Demonstrate adult learning principles that assist in the professional development of teachers.
    5. Develop the capacity to effectively supervise and evaluate teachers.

  • What advice would you give to those considering the online M.S.Ed. – Educational Administration (With Principal Licensure Option) program?

Because the course is only seven weeks, it will be important to make adequate time to complete readings and assignments. I would also suggest taking time to get to know the other classmates and the professor considering the course isn't face-to-face.

  • Why did you start teaching?

I first started teaching because I loved seeing the light bulb go on for students when they learned something new. I continue to teach because I want to keep that light bulb glowing bright for students as they progress through their academic journey.
