• What do you want students to take away from your classes?

  • - Analyze and reflect on a variety of research studies and consider implications for transforming their own practices
  • - Design lessons that engage groups of students in social interactions and cooperative learning
  • - Apply the knowledge that lessons should have meaning and serve a purpose for students now
  • - Develop lessons that provide for students to construct their own learning
  • - Engage students in an awareness of their own Emotional Intelligence and its influence of meeting their learning goals
  • - Demonstrate that lessons should be learner-centered because learning is the active construction of knowledge by students

• What advice would you give to those considering the online M.S.Ed. programs?

  My advice would be to always be a lifelong learner. Our students, classrooms, curriculum and so many other factors are constantly changing. To be effective educators, we need to be willing to keep an open mind and learn new techniques, technology, differentiation, etc.
