I have also presented internationally, nationally and locally on a variety of topics related to special education. An example would be that I was in Ireland this year speaking about personalized learning and special education. I have also presented several times at CEC.

    I would expect my students to take away the skills and knowledge to work with any student who has a disability under IDEA.

  • What advice would you give to those considering the online M.S.Ed. programs?

    Procrastination is the biggest enemy of online classes in my opinion. I would suggest setting aside time daily to complete your work. Let everyone around you know this is your work time and, unless it is a true emergency (and I do mean an actual emergency—e.g., someone needs to go to the hospital), do not let anyone interrupt. If you do not do this, you will be challenged to complete all the requirements of the classes.
